About Tracey Zarn

· I established Leading Edge Safety Inc. in 1994 and have since worked with businesses in different sectors (mining, oil and gas, and construction) as a consultant, trainer, and as an employee. Throughout my career I have worked on the front-line with employees, contractors and supervisors. I have advanced upwards through leadership and management positions.

· Throughout my career, I have worked in the Canadian north, in the USA, and a short international project in Kurdistan. I like diversity, problem solving, and team building.

My experience includes:

Developing and implementing safety management systems that have included:

Contractor performance management and regulatory compliance

Emergency response plans, exercises, training

Business continuity plans

Developing documents that meet requirements such as CSA, ISO as needed

Data analysis to ensure the safety management system and work plans are stream-lined for the highest impact for the effort

Managing contractors from the Client perspective and experience working as a contractor to meet Client expectations. This includes:

Working in ISNetworld and PEC Safety

Completing and reviewing contractor field verifications in order to establish continuous improvement action plans

Completing gap assessments and developing bridging documents to strengthen alignment between clients and contractors

Key certifications and designations are:

o CMHA Certified Psychological Health and Safety Advisor, 2019

o Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC 1217-19), 2019

o Diploma in Business Continuity Management, IBCT 2008

o Project Management Certification based on PMBOK, Aurora College 2006

o Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (3 yr.), University of Alberta 2001

o Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP 99-1503), 1999
